• Now I'm not claiming that I originated duck typing, because I didn't, but then again neither did Alex Martelli, who is referenced in the Wikipedia entry. But I did use the concept on comp.lang.smalltalk in 1995, a clear five years before Mr. Martelli's posting . Now of course comes the question, do I want to take my 15 minutes of fame on Wikipedia?
